Information on the scope of processing:

1. Purpose of data processing:
Property security, enforcement of house rules, prevention and prosecution of criminal offenses,safeguarding the interests/physical integrity of guests(third-party interests, see above)

2. Legal basis:
Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR

3. Duration of storage of personal data:
Video surveillance data is generally deleted immediately if it is no longer necessary for the purposes for which it was collected (Art. 17 (1) (a) GDPR) or if the legitimate interests of the data subjects prevent further storage. The data is generally deleted after 72 hours. In the event of a security-related incident, the recordings concerned are retained until the incident has been fully clarified.

4. Automated decision-making and profiling:
There is no automated decision-making and no profiling (automated processing of personal data by algorithms for evaluation and assessment).

5. Information on disclosure and foreign reference:
Data is only disclosed to authorities and Group companies within the framework of the statutory provisions. Data is not transferred to third countries.

6. Information on the rights of data subjects:
Pursuant to Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR, recording is lawful insofar as it is necessary to safeguard the legitimate interests of the controller and provided that the interests or fundamental rights of the data subject worthy of protection do not prevail. The legitimate interests of the controller in this case are

  • Exercise of domiciliary rights
  • Prevention of criminal offenses
  • Prosecution of criminal offenses
  • General security interests of Hotel Kitzhof (private room open to the public)
  • Interests of the guests / third party interests
